Rescue Efforts Commendable, But No Room for Complacency It is gratifying to receive some positive news on the rescue of the 38 abducted victims from the Eruku Church attack in Kwara State, as well as the escape of about 50 students from the Catholic Private School in Niger State. I would like to commend the security agencies and all those who played a role in this refreshing development. However, it is important to emphasise that there must be no relenting or relaxing until all the children are reunited with their families, whose situation must have been deeply agonising. There is also a pressing need for both security agencies and school authorities nationwide to remain proactive and ensure that adequate security measures are put in place to frustrate the plans of criminals. -PO
