Dear @AbdulMahmud01, as Governor, I was not constitutionally empowered to arm SARS or any unit of the Nigeria Police Force or the Army. So, we never bought arms and ammunition for them because we were not legally empowered to do so.
The end of FSARS allows us to reform not just @PoliceNG, but also all our security agencies. It will also ensure they focus on their mandate, and #EndPoliceBrutality against our youth.
It is tragic enough that terrorists are killing and maiming our citizens; disrupting our lives and stifling our development, but their continued attack on our schools is an attack on our greatest asset: human resource.
I am saddened by the killing of innocent and hard-working young Nigerian, David Ntekim Rex, in the hands of armed robbers due to worsening insecurity in our country.

The terror attacks on Kaduna Airport and on Abuja-Kaduna bound train, with several persons reportedly abducted is depressing and disheartening and underscores the worsening level of insecurity across the country.
